ENJUBA
Enjuba is a catalytic children’s education organization that is aimed at improving literacy and executive function skills for Ugandan children. We do this through creating and supporting the creation of early learning centers in rural public schools as well as spelling bees, stocking libraries, giving children an opportunity to own a book of their own and publishing afro-centric children’s books.
We continue to do this work, because of several challenges that are still prevalent. Currently 90% of children in Uganda do not attend any early learning center, and 9 in 10 children under 10 years cannot read and comprehend what they read.
Your support will go a long way in helping to alleviate these challenges. Your donation of:
$350 will pay for 1 child to attend school for a year, including having a nutritious age-appropriate meal and fruits.
$100 will feed 2 children with a nutritious meal for the while year
$50 will provide reading books to 15 children.
100% of your donation will go towards the beneficiaries. All donations are tax deductible.
Our Impact
Over the last 10 years, we have reached over 1.5million children in 1,500 schools, trained over 10,000 teachers, supported 120 libraries and distributed over 400,000 books. We are also operating/supporting 3 early childhood learning centers in Uganda.
Our work has contributed to 90% of children completing primary school and transition to secondary school, and it is helping improve reading proficiency and the development of executive function skills.
Despite our effort, there are still several prevalent challenges in the education sector.
